Mesoporous Nickel–Aluminum Mixed Oxide: A Promising Catalyst in Hydride‐Transfer Reactions

Abstract: The design and synthesis of a new nanostructured material that can efficiently catalyze selective reduction reactions in an eco‐friendly way is an active area of research today. Here a mesoporous Ni–Al mixed oxide material has been synthesized hydrothermally by using lauric acid as capping agent. The mesoporosity observed in the material is mainly originated from the interparticle voids created due to the self‐assembly of the nanoparticles (NPs) in the presence of capping agent used during the synthesis. The m… Show more

“…81 The synthetic pathway for the mesoporous self-assembled Ni-Al mixed oxide nanoparticles and its application for hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to aniline is shown in Figure 7. Hydrogenation of D-glucose over Ru nanoparticles impregnated mesoporous hypercrosslinked polystyrene is reported by Sapunov et al 82 They also provided an elaborate mechanistic pathway and kinetics for the formation of D-sorbitol.…”

“…A notable Urbach tail absorption could be observed in NiO x / FAPbBr 3 /TiO 2 , which is the same as that in pure NiO x , indicating dense defects. 38 We next examine the photophysical processes in these materials by steady-state photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. FAPbBr 3 presents a typical PL emission around 560 nm ( Figure S8).…”
