Также рассмотрены математические модели, разработанные российскими учеными и применимые в мезоэкономических исследованиях. Выделено четыре основные группы таких моделей. Первая группа-модели, основанные на идеях эконофизики. Вторая группа разрабатывает модели агентного моделирования. Третья группа основана на оптимальных многоотраслевых межрегиональных моделях. Четвертая рассматривает экономические системы, дифференцированные по возрасту основного капитала. В эту группу входят математические модели, основанные на теории переключающегося режима экономического воспроизводства. Ключевые слова: мезоуровень экономического анализа; гетеродоксальная экономика; экономический мейнстрим; институциональная мезоэкономика.

The meso-level' meaning and place in the hierarchy of levels in the economy from the standpoint of a systematic interdisciplinary approach is shown in the paper: The meso-level exactly "smoothes out" the randomness in the situational-socioeconomic processes taking place at the micro-level, where the heteromorphic and heterogeneous current agents' expectations and preferences appear one of the essential reasons of increasing of uncertainty level within the development of any process. At the macro-level, the current individual agents' expectations and preferences are offset by the current institutional system. The meso-level is exactly the place where the current dominant type of inter-subjective relations in economy is formed through the agents' complementary cooperation in mesoeconomic agents' community. Mesolevel should be considered as a testing ground for revision of the existing institutional system norms, where the testing of the feasibility and versatility of the newly generated institutions and the identification of the inefficient ones are taking place. 1. Вступ. В умовах сучасної промислової революції Україні потрібна реіндустріалізація на засадах інноваційної модернізації, яка неможлива без створення відповідних інститутів.Проблематика. Формування та реалізація сучасної політики регіонального розвитку, яка спрямована за активізацію інноваційної діяльності, вимагає пошуку нових можливостей через створення та ефективну дію інститутів регіонального розвитку. Мета. Обґрунтування теоретичних підходів до розуміння сутності інститутів регіонального розвитку та їхньої ролі в інноваційній модернізації економіки.Матеріали й методи. Використано теоретичне надбання економічного вчення провідних учених з проблем інституційної обумовленості інноваційних процесів. Дослідження базується переважно на інституціональній парадигмі тапередбачає синтез інституціонального та еволюційного підходів.Результати. Інститути регіонального розвитку запропоновано розглядати у широкому розумінні як диференційовані регуляторні режими, які створюють умови для досягнення бажаного соціально-економічного стану системи вцілому через надання можливості господарюючим суб’єктам вилучати інноваційну ренту; у вузькому розумінні, інститути регіонального розвитку — це організації різної організаційно-правової форми, які є елементами регіональноїінноваційної інфраструктури і забезпечують розвиток і підтримку всіх стадій інноваційного процесу, мінімізуючи трансакційні витрати.Висновки. Висунуто гіпотезу що інститути регіонального розвитку — це не тільки організації, механізми, інструменти й норми поведінки, які створені державою, а й результати інституціоналізації на мезорівні правил, вироблених колективом господарюючих суб’єктів. Подальші дослідження полягають у визначені можливостей формування інститутів регіонального розвитку в результаті здійснення колективних спроб подолання умов невизначеності та мінімізації трансакційних витрат в процесі інноваційної активності.
