According to Falkinburg et al 3 there were only about 270 such tumors described in the literature until 1964. As most of the individual series contained only a small number of cases, authors might have been unduly impressed by an incidental history of previous irradiation in their patients since this type of treatment was rather common for control of uterine bleeding due to a variety of causes in the past.…”
