Abstract:This work describes a novel microfluidic device capable of generating multi-profile gradients that include sigmoidal, parabolic, and exponential concentration variations across its main channel. The main distinguishing feature of this device is its simple geometry: it contains fewer fluidic channels that provide versatility and ease of operation. The narrow orthogonal side channels transport analyte into a wider buffer stream, and by merely altering flow rates of either one or both streams, gradient profiles a… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
