Mental Illness as a Sentencing Determinant: A Comparative Case Law Analysis Based on a Machine Learning Approach

Abstract: This study identifies factors that contribute to sentencing outcomes for criminally sentenced individuals experiencing mental disorders, in two U.S. states with divergent sociopolitical ideologies.
