Abstract: Workplace incivility and bullying may carry monetary costs to employers, which could be controlled through work environment modification.

In two American hospitals, workers who experienced instability in the workplace and bullying had a higher number of days they requested leave and required more spending on their mental health care than their unexposed counterparts [16].
