Menigococcal endophthalmitis: A rare cause of endogenous endophthalmitis

Abstract: Highlights Neisseria Meningitidis is a rare cause of endogenous endophthalmitis, which is potentially severe. Meningococcal endophthalmitis is a disease that may provoke sequels such as loss of visual acuity and retinal detachment uspiction is necessary to make a diagnostic and perform an early antimicrobial treatment, thus reducing complications.
