Andrews et al 26 report the observation of pinched loop hysteretic memristive behaviour in single-crystalline nanowires of a versatile class of layered vanadium oxide bronze with the composition, thought to originate from the proton diffusion in the interlayer regions. The Pt/V 2 O 5 /Pt sandwich structure was carefully constructed to simulate the suboxide V 2 O 5− x and Mott VO 2 nanochannels in the layered V 2 O 5 matrix and to investigate brain-like processing and nerve pain perception functions, respectively.…”
