Memória coletiva e familiar em >i<K.>/i< de Bernardo Kucinski e >i<Ainda estou aqui>/i< de Marcelo Rubens Paiva

Abstract

This dissertation proposes an analysis of two contemporary narrative works written by relatives of political opponents who went missing due to their opposition to the Brazilian Military Regime . These works are the novel K. by Bernardo Kucinski and the autobiography I am Still Here [Ainda Estou Aqui] by Marcelo Rubens Paiva. We aim to investigate how the family memory expressed in these two literary works dialogues with the collective memory that postdictatorial Brazilian society has of the period of military dictatorship. We place special emphasis on the construction of the guerrilla image in these two works.
