Membranous glomerulonephropathy in a patient with bullous pemphigoid

Abstract: Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is a common autoimmune blistering disease that can be complicated by autoimmune disorders. We describe a patient with BP who developed membranous glomerulonephropathy (MN). Proteinuria decreased during the clinical course as anti-BP180 antibody titers decreased. This finding suggested an association between the pathogenesis of these two diseases in terms of immunological disorders.
