“…In our previous study, a carbamazepine−celecoxib (CBZ-CEL) cocrystal was prepared by melt crystallization, and the cocrystal growth kinetics of the coamorphous system were investigated both in the supercooled liquid and glassy states. 13 In the supercooled liquid, the growth rate of cocrystals decreased upon cooling, as predicted by diffusion theories for crystal growth. 14 However, in the glassy state, an anomalously fast growth mode (glass-to-crystal (GC) growth) was observed for the cocrystallization of CBZ-CEL, in which the crystal growth rate was orders of magnitude faster than those predicted by standard theories.…”

“…Generally, the bulk growth rate of CBZ-CEL cocrystals decreased upon cooling, but the trend showed a discontinuity near the T g . We have previously ascribed this sudden jump in growth rate at 323 K to the activation of GC growth, which can be much faster than diffusion-controlled crystal growth . Interestingly, when the PEO concentration was above 1% w/w, the GC growth mode of CBZ-CEL was no longer observed, and the bulk growth rate changed gradually as the temperature changed from 303 K ( T g – 29.5 K) to 373 K ( T g + 40.5 K).…”

“…The experimental details are similar to the procedures reported in the literature (Ou et al, 2020;Su et al, 2018;Chen et al, 2023). In brief, a small quantity of the sample was melted on a round coverslip at a specified temperature until a small single crystal remained.…”
