Melatonin and Its Possible Participation in Function Regulation of the Thyroid Gland in Puberty Period

Abstract: Melatonin production in healthy teens aged 10–16 years and their peers with diffuse non-toxic goiter. On the basis of mathematical analysis of its interaction with thyroid and sexual hormones, thyrotropin, prolactin and type 1 insulin-like growth factor participation of melatonin in the regulation of the hormone-producing function of the thyroid gland, the nature of which depends on the stage of puberty and adolescence.
