MEJOR CONDICIÓN CORPORAL DE Artibeus lituratus EN FRAGMENTOS DE BOSQUE SECO ASOCIADOS A SISTEMAS SILVOPASTORILES QUE EN SISTEMAS CONVENCIONALES DE GANADERÍA EN CÓRDOBA, COLOMBIA

Abstract

Resumen: El objetivo de este trabajo fue conocer la relación entre características del hábitat y el índice de condición corporal (ICC) de murciélagos fruteros Artibeus lituratus en fragmentos de Bosque Seco Tropical (bs-T) asociados a dos sistemas de manejo: sistema convencional (SC) y sistema silvopastoril (SSP) de ganadería extensiva. Para ello, se obtuvo la masa corporal (g), la medida del antebrazo (mm) y el índice de condición corporal (masa corporal/longitud del antebrazo). Para evaluar la diferencia entre los sistemas de ganadería, se calculó la diversidad alfa verdadera de la vegetación, q = 0 (riqueza de especies, 0 D) y q = 1 (exponencial del índice de entropía de Shannon, 1 D), y se analizaron las variables morfométricas y la disponibilidad de frutos a través de estadísticos descriptivos como la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis. Los valores promedios superiores para el ICC y la masa corporal se encontraron para el SSP, mostrando diferencias significativas frente a SC. Para el SSP, la disponibilidad de frutos presentó valores promedios más altos (4.12 ± 5,37) en comparación a los SC (3,62 ± 3,44). La diversidad vegetal presentó mayores valores para q = 0 en el SSP ( 0 D = 158, 1 D = 54.19); sin embargo, para q = 1 fue superior en el SC ( 0 D = 142, 1 D = 68.73). La variable que presentó mayor relación con el ICC fue el sistema de manejo. Los resultados pueden indicar que fragmentos de Bosque Seco Tropical inmersos en matrices de SSP brindan mayores recursos, mejor calidad del hábitat y conectividad funcional, factores que influyen de manera positiva en la condición corporal y la masa corporal del murciélago Artibeus lituratus.
