Abstract: Leptosphaeria maculans is one of the major fungal pathogens on oilseed rape (Brassica napus), causing stem canker disease. The closely related Brassica species Brassica nigra, Brassica juncea, and Brassica carinata display extreme resistance toward stem canker.
