Abstract:Review ArticleAchalasia or megaesophagus is a pathology predisposing to the occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. The diagnosis is often made late. The first-line paraclinical workup should include esogastroduodenal fibroscopy with biopsies to confirm the diagnosis.
