Abstract:Macrorhabdus ornithogaster, agent of yeast-like Megabacteriosis is found in the normal microbiota of the proventriculus of birds. Under non-specific conditions, the host-fungal balance is disrupted and clinical signs, called "Light Going Syndrome", manifest.
