Meeting the Health Professions Council's Standards of Proficiency: A Student's Experience

Abstract: A core component of healthcare courses involves reflective learning. This article discusses a student's learning experience while undertaking the diploma in operating department practice. Core skills development is important in facilitating the learning process, and can be identified through reflective practice. Reflecting on individual learning experiences can support students in meeting the Health Professions Council's (HPC) standards of proficiency.
