Medicine and the State.

Abstract: retention of feces and the multitudinous consequent ills have demanded our patient inquisitive consideration; and this study forces the conclusion, I believe, that the individual's escape is ultimately assured by process of development, but that for the normally formed infant, the physician will find the solution of the problem of difficult defecation in the solution of the stool.
