Abstract:Background: Drug-induced osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) is a serious complication associated with prolonged use of antiresorptive (e.g., bisphosphonates and denosumab) and antiangiogenic drugs (e.g., bevacizumab and sunitinib) in patients with osteoporosis or cancer.
