Medication Administration Discrepancies Persist Despite Electronic Ordering

Abstract: Background Up to 38% of inpatient medication errors occur at the administration stage. Although they reduce prescribing errors, computerized provider order entry (CPOE) systems do not prevent administration errors or timing discrepancies.
