This article describes the efforts of teachers in increasing High Order Thinking (HOT) Learners through Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) based on Cognitive Distance. In the current learning process there are several gaps related to students' thinking assumptions. The majority of teachers understand their role as disseminators and not student centres; so that the focus of education in schools is more on factual knowledge. This then has an impact on the student achievement assessment system which is based more on tests that are tested for low-level cognitive abilities only. The existence of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model is expected to be a bridge to build High Order Thinking (HOT) learners who can ultimately make learners able to achieve High Order Thinking (HOT). CTL has five elements that must be considered, namely, activating existing knowledge (activating learning). Acquisition of existing knowledge (acquiring knowledge) by studying the whole first, then paying attention to the details. The next element is in the form of understanding knowledge, by compiling hypotheses, sharing with others in order to get responses (validation) then from that response, the concept is revised and developed, practicing the knowledge and experience (applying knowledge), reflecting (reflecting knowledge) on the knowledge strategy. Based on the development process at the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation stages, it can be concluded that CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) is quite effective and efficient for developing history and culture learning programs for grade 5 elementary schools. This has been proven to save the number of lesson hours by 49.45% of the total number of normal lesson hours provided for studying the field of History and Culture in grade 5 elementary school. Likewise, HOTS can increase students' learning achievement, the average is 7,516. Implementation of CTL can also increase students' learning motivation and self-regulation of learning. This is proven by the level of achievement of student learning motivation is 88.01% and student learning self-regulation reaches 86.6%.

This study aimed to evaluate the influence of watering volumes on the growth, yield, and nutrient dynamics in Pakcoy Mustard plants grown in East Java. Conducted from July to August 2022, the experiment used a randomized block design comprising three levels: 10 liters, 7 liters, and 4 liters of water, each with five replications. Our findings underscored a strong correlation between water quantity and crop yield. Specifically, the treatment with 4 liters of water resulted in the lowest yield due to suboptimal conditions involving significant water reduction and high nutrient concentration (ppm) coupled with low pH values, yielding a wet weight of 63,432 grams and dry weight of 1,698 grams. Conversely, the best crop yield was achieved with the 7-liter treatment, which facilitated optimum nutrient absorption (ppm) and pH levels, accounting for 85.3% of the variation, while 14.7% was attributable to external factors. The study unveiled a substantial effect of reduced watering on nutrient concentration, with lower water amounts leading to increased nutrient density and more acidic conditions due to decreased pH values. These findings underscore the criticality of balancing water volume and nutrient dynamics for optimizing pakcoy mustard yields and may have significant implications for home-based agriculture and water management practices.

The application of hydroponics in the agricultural sector is very effective for maximizing limited land in urban environments (urban farming). This one farming system requires extra supervision to get quality crop yields. One aspect to which farmers must pay attention is monitoring the water level in the tank so that the water discharge needed by hydroponic plants is properly fulfilled. In order to provide convenience to farmers in carrying out this monitoring, this research is designed to monitor the water level of the tank based on a website. The use of ultrasonic sensors in this study is as a distance sensor. Sensor data that has been obtained from the ultrasonic sensor is then processed by the Arduino Uno and sent to the NodeMCU ESP8266 to be sent to a database that is connected via the internet network so that it can be used by users anywhere and anytime through websites connected to the internet. The level of accuracy of the data on the website is 100% according to the reading results from the Arduino IDE application and a ruler as a comparison measure.
