Media Calcification and Intima Calcification Are Distinct Entities in Chronic Kidney Disease

Abstract: Calcification of the vascular tree is common in physiologic and pathologic conditions, i.e., aging, diabetes, dyslipidemia, genetic diseases, and diseases with disturbances of calcium metabolism.
