Media and Adult Education in Sub‐Saharan Africa: Role and Challenges

Abstract: The value of adult education in leading towards progress in the sub-Saharan African States is stressed, and the media, as well as the role the media can play is investigated. Adult education can inform, teach, motivate, mobilize and persuade. But there are many obstacles, among which are funding, personnel, illiteracy and the heterogeneous languages in the area. Some strategies are then proposed for overcoming these problems.
