Mechatronic design optimization of the mechanism in a sewing machine

Abstract: This work deals with the multiobjective mechatronic design optimization of a sewing machine. The mechatronic model of the machine is developed based on the coupling of the needle bar and thread take-up lever mechanism dynamic and the DC motor models. Based on the mechatronic model, the consumed energy, the DC motor load, and the coupler tracking error are minimized, simultaneously.
