INtRoductIoN cis-1,4-Polybutadiene is one of the most in-demand, hightonnage synthetic rubbers. The history of the industrial production of stereoregular polybutadiene goes back over 50 years [1]. Nevertheless, cis-1,4-polybutadiene production technology is continuing to develop. One way to improve the butadiene rubber production process is to modify the polymer. A large number of studies have addressed this question. Similar interest has been sparked by the possibility of varying considerably the properties of the rubbers and of compounds based on them. Moreover, the economic outlay on modification is far lower than the costs of organising new production [2].
