“…The simulations, lasting 100 ns in a periodic water box, utilized the CHARMM36 force field and the Gromacs version 2020 software package [ 59 , 60 ]. The complexes were placed within a rectangular box with a buffer distance of 10 in each direction [ 61 ]. Subsequently, the box was solvated by adding TIP3P water molecules.…”

“…Protein Retrieval. The protein structures utilized in this study included mutated variants of KRAS at codons 12 and 13, the wildtype KRas structure (PDB ID: 6mbu) 7 namely G12C (PDB ID: 6USZ), 8 G12D (PDB ID: 7xkj), 6 G12V (PDB ID: 7c40), 9 and G13D (PDB ID: 6e6f), 10 sourced from the Protein Data Bank (PDB) (Berman et al, 2000) for comparative analysis. These structures were chosen based on their relevance to oncogenic transformation and their availability in the PDB (Figure 1).…”

“…Helicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative bacterium. It affects more than one half of the world population, and it is an etiologic agent of the peptic acid disease in 10–20% of infected individuals, while 1–2% of these persons entertain the risk of developing gastric cancer or mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT); it exclusively colonizes the gastric mucosa [ 94 ]. Abundant sulforaphane (SFN) in crucifers induces a variety of antioxidants in the cells and organs against oxidative stress, which can contribute to the chemoprotection; in the GI tract of mice, it induces antioxidant enzymes and protects the GI mucosa against damage conditioned by Helicobacter pylori and anti-inflammatory non-steroidal substances (NSAIDS) [ 95 ].…”
