Mechanisms of Synergy Between Alcohol and Hepatitis C Virus

Abstract: Alcoholics with HCV infection have more severe liver disease compared with nondrinkers. Patients should be encouraged to enroll in rehabilitation programs so as to improve treatment adherence and response.
