The aim of the research is to access the Anti-fungal activity of Neem and Aloe Vera composition mediated zirconium oxide nano particles. The procedure includes a collection of Azadirachta indica (neem) and Aloe Vera plant leaves and preparation of plant extract, Synthesis of zirconium oxide nanoparticles using a herbal formulation and Anti-fungal activity determination of synthesised zirconium oxide nanoparticles. The objective is to evaluate the activity done by neem and Aloe Vera composition mediated zirconium oxide nano particles against fungal infection. As a result, the addition of nanoparticles to prepared plant extracts showed mild or no colour change. Thus zirconium oxide nanoparticles are colourless in nature. But turbidity in solution appears after the addition of nanoparticles. Graphical representation of the synthesis of nanoparticles showed a peak at 350 nanometers(nm) in both initial and final readings, but the rate of absorbance showed a mild increase in final reading which confirms the synthesis of the nanoparticle. The anti-fungal activity was checked against 3 pathogenic fungi Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans and it showed mild ring of a zone of inhibition around the well. Zone of inhibition increases with an increase in the quantity of nanoparticles in the well. Zone of inhibition proves the anti-fungal activity. To conclude, Azadirachta indica (neem) and Aloe Vera composition mediated zirconium oxide nanoparticles show anti-fungal activity.

Aim: The aim of the study was to employ cumin oil in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles and check the antioxidant activity of the cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles. Background: The introduction of Nanoparticles (NPs) has revolutionized every field including medicine, nutrition and energy. The use of nanotechnology in medicine especially for drug delivery is shown to have various benefits. Nanoparticles are being used to reduce toxicity and side effects that drugs may impose to the patient. Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) is a common spice used for its distinct aromatic effect. Plant mediated biological synthesis of nanoparticles has been gaining importance due to its simplicity and eco friendliness. This study therefore was aimed to synthesize cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles and assess its antioxidant activity. Materials and Methods: Cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles were initially synthesised and characterised by UV-Visible spectrophotometer and TEM. Further the cumin oil mediated AgNPs were subjected to DPPH assay to determine the antioxidant activity. Results: Cumin oil mediated AgNPs were biosynthesised with ease and showed good antioxidant activity compared to standard. Conclusion: This study conclude that cumin seed oil mediated silver nanoparticles have the potential to be used as an effective antioxidant. Hence, it may be employed in large scale production and may be used in many medicinal applications where there is a need for antioxidant.

Studies suggest that cumin oil have many health and cosmetic benefits such as weight loss, improving skin conditions and also treating cancer and diabetes. People have used these tiny black seeds of N. sativa as a natural remedy for thousands of years. Cumin oil contains thymoquinone, which is an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory compound having tumor-reducing properties therefore useful in treating cancer. Plant mediated biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles has been gaining importance due to its simplicity and eco-friendliness. The aim of the present study was to prepare cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles and evaluate it for its anti-diabetic activity .using alpha amylase inhibitory assay. The green synthesised cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles were prepared using 1mM silver nitrate. The anti-diabetic activity was evaluated by alpha amylase inhibitory assay. The formation of the nanoparticles was confirmed both by visual colour change as well as by scanning the absorbance by UV-Visible spectrophometer between 300 nm to 700 nm. In the present study, cumin oil mediated silver nanoparticles inhibited alpha amylase in a dose dependent manner. Hence, these nanoparticles may be used for control post prandial hyperglycemia
