Mechanical sensitivity of red blood cells improves in individuals with hemochromatosis following venesection therapy

Abstract: Background: Individuals with hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) receive frequent blood withdrawals (ie, venesections) as part of their primary treatment to assist in normalizing blood iron levels.
