Abstract:This work investigates the influence of MXene content on the mechanical and functional response of PLA‐MXene composites fabricated additively using fused deposition modeling. The mechanical, thermal, and microstructural properties of the fabricated samples are investigated considering dense and architected triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS) gyroid specimens. Overall, the addition of 0.25–0.5 wt% MXene is found to improve the stiffness, fracture strength, and energy absorption capabilities of the PLA. Howe… Show more
This review highlights the developments in the 3D/4D printing of MXene-based composites, focusing on their application in tissue regeneration, drug delivery, sensing, and energy storage.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
