Mechanical Behavior of Polyethylene Pipes under Strike-Slip Fault Movements

Abstract: The present paper addresses the mechanical behaviors and failure mechanisms of buried polyethylene (PE) pipes crossing active strike slip tectonic faults based on numerical simulation of the nonlinear response of the soil-pipeline system.
