“…In this study, we prepared liquid marbles made of poly-(peruoroalkyl ethyl acrylate) (P-Zonyl-TAN), which was synthesized in supercritical CO 2 by homogenous radical polymerization, 48,49 having very low surface free energy in order to determine the effect of variation of the powder particle size on g eff and lifetimes of liquid marbles on the water subphase. Three different sizes of P-Zonyl-TAN powders (8, 20 and 60 mm of average particle size) were used and it was found that when the smallest particles ($8 mm) were used in the liquid marble formation, the lifetime of the liquid marble on the water surface was the longest and the deformation of the liquid marble started aer 170 min, however, when large ($60 mm) particles were used, liquid marbles were completely collapsed around 1 minute.…”
