Mechanical analogue in hydroelasticity

Abstract

Lineal oscillation modelling of various mechanical systems is a quite common way of representation and simplification of rather complicated systems. One of the most impressions and exciting appearance of lineal oscillation modelling was made by RAS academician Konstantin Sergeevich Kolesnikov in a problem of liquid-structure interactive and the influence of that interactive on vehicle dynamics, especially in a case of rocket motion. K.S. Kolesnikov considered mathematical pendulum according to the problem of the small oscillations of an ideal liquid in a rigid cylindrical shell.
