Mecanismos estructurales del volcanismo paleozóico en la región alcudiense

Abstract

It vas indicated for a long time that a space andtemporary relationship betveen volcanism and cinnabar minera lization existed in the zone of Almadén.We study the distribution of the volcanism, in terms of its different types, as vell as that of the evidences of cinnabar. We come to the conclusión that there are no space and temporary relationships betveen them, but only a structu ral one.We consider the ideas of QUINTERO, J. to be nightthese ideas are relative to the fact that the tectonic faulting of the competent levéis of the series (quartzite) isproduced vhere these appear crossed by chimneys. So an área of debilitation is created and the mineralized fluids shoyld ascend through these lacks of continuity.
