Izvleček School culture is a multifaceted concept, comprising multiple dimensions. The present research explored relations between selected dimensions: between the dimension focused on shared objectives, trust in school leadership, and on a managerial approach, and the important dimension focused on the innovation process and the results expected from the education process. School leaders using the School Culture Inventory evaluated current and desired school culture in their primary schools to identify culture gaps. The research findings should help school leaders in planning to shape the culture and innovate the strategy of the schools they manage. Povezave med vodenjem šol in pričakovanimi rezultati izobraževalnega procesa v okviru šolske kultureŠolska kultura je večplasten pojem, ki vključuje različne vidike. V pričujoči raziskavi preučujemo povezave med izbranimi vidiki, in sicer med vidikom, ki se osredinja na skupne cilje, zaupanje v vodstvo šole, pristope vodenja, ter vidikom, ki izpostavlja proces inovacij in pričakovane rezultate izobraževalnega procesa. V raziskavi so vodstva šol s pomočjo »Popisa elementov šolske kulture« ocenila sedanjo in želeno šolsko kulturo na svojih osnovnih šolah z namenom ugotavljanja vrzeli. Izsledki raziskave naj bi bili vodjem šol v podporo pri oblikovanju šolske kulture in pri inoviranju strategije šol, ki jih vodijo.

This paper aims to analyze the application of instructional leadership in elementary schools. Instructional leadership analysis uses Stronge et al. [1]; Philip Hallinger [2]; Leithwood and Seashore-Louis [3] theoretical framework, which refers to four key dimensions, namely: 1) The meaning of the school's mission which is oriented to the learning program in the classroom; 2) Principal decision-making based on data and distributive leadership practices; 3) The role and commitment of the principal in the management of learning programs, and 4) The role and commitment of the principal in building a positive work climate. This study uses explanatory analysis with a qualitative approach to analyze instructional leadership in elementary schools. Data were collected using a Focus Group Discussion involving principals (N=8) and teachers (N=5) of elementary schools from Medan and Deli Serdang, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques use through stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results revealed that the principal in the subject school had a policy direction aimed at learning effectiveness. However, several aspects need to be optimized, especially from organizational systems, quality control regulations, and research-based decision-making. This study recommends principals to be able to maintain their leadership orientation in learning programs, maintain good communication with teachers, be committed to developing teacher professionalism, build an effective organizational system and control system, conduct research as a basis for decision making, create a conducive organizational climate, and collaborate with stakeholders to generate competitive advantage.

The paper investigates the educational leadership management practices as a perspective to educational transformation. The descriptive correlation research design is utilized in the study to quantify and measure the profile of the respondents, contribution of effective style educational leadership management and practices, and educational transformation perspective of the educational management practices of the respondents. Likewise, purposive quota sampling employs in the study to define the criteria for the sample size. The study comprised fifty (50) respondents only. Results show that the contribution of effective style educational leadership management and practices of the respondents involves democratic leaders where they yield with a high morale environment to generate and motivate creative solutions of effective leadership style in school organization, show that instructional leadership involves on planning practice, coordination, evaluation, and teaching improvement learning, show that authoritative leaders ensure that the systems are in order, and quick in the decision process and control the organization, show that coaching leadership involves behavior, attitude, work performance, evaluation, process of the work, and the policies in the school organization, and show that transformational leaderships is an essential element in the organization to be imposed for good, better, and best because all employees in the school organization are determinant for the process. Hence, educational transformation perspective of the educational management practices of the respondents explores career, advocacy, and policy in pursuing equity in education, contributes to the school system in the organization, reveals significant effect on positive and negative effects of the transformational leadership process, maintains school culture and identity for the diverse and challenging condition strength of school organization and setting, and supports the innovation of learning in the school organization and supports advanced flexible learning technology.
