“…This agrees with the findings from FIES, and confirms that the poor, females, the uneducated are more desirous of government assistance during pandemic like COVID-19 that the more affluent, the male and the formally educated individuals. Unfortunately, these categories may experience denied service delivery during such food distributions [45]. Furthermore, respondents with >12 work hours per day were more likely to be highly skilled, and those with more family incomes both demonstrated satisfactory experience on food security than those working 2 -6 hours daily, an indication that less priority should be focused on such category in situation of assistance associated with pandemics.…”
