The fusion of religion and populism has paved the way for civilisationism. However, this significant issue is still unresearched. This paper attempts to address this gap by investigating the Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Islamist populism and civilisationism as an empirical case study. While Islamism has been explored in the context of Pakistan, this paper goes beyond and investigates the amalgamation of Islamist ideals with populism. Using discourse analysis, the paper traces the horizontal and vertical dimensions of Imran Khan’s religious populism. The paper provides an understanding of how “the people”, “the elite”, and “the others” are defined at present in Pakistan from an antagonistic and anti-Western civilisationist perspective. The paper finds that “New Pakistan” is indeed a “homeland” or an idolized society defined by Islamist civilisationism to which extreme emotions, sentimentality and victimhood are attached.

The present study attempts to explain gender-based literacy differences within Haryana. The disparity in education is measured in terms of male-female literacy differentials. The differences found based on gender in the state's educational achievement are not only seen in urban areas, but the situation in rural areas is very worrying. The Haryana literacy differential in the male-female population was very high in 2001 at 18.61%, but this gap narrowed down to 13.23% in the 2011 census. This discrimination toward female literacy results from prejudice in Indian traditional society. Women's position and status are not satisfactory in society. Many social and religious bonds confined them to only domestic work and limited their access to education-related programs. For most of the parents in our society, girls' education is not of much importance in terms of economic perspective because of strong prejudice against their employment. For parents, girl education is a kind of unnecessary risk due to the present social conditions in India. The government of Haryana has formulated many policies, schemes, and provisions to improve this situation. However, this gap in literacy in rural, as well as urban areas is very prominent. However, in rural areas, the situation is even worse. This discrimination in education has several reasons behind it.

This research study analyses the ways and means of enhancing the literacy and education facilitation in inaccessible areas over e-learning. The study explores current state of education and literacy in remote and inaccessible areas and the potential of e-learning to provide access to education. The basic objectives of study were to explore the ways and means to enhance literacy and education facilitation in inaccessible areas through e-learning and also to investigate the challenges faced by learners and educators in remote areas with limited access to educational resources and potential of e-learning to overcome these challenges. Due to the qualitative nature of the study, the available literature was analyzed by using coding followed by thematic analysis and discussion. The study highlighted key factors that contribute to the successful implementation of e-learning in remote areas, including infrastructure, internet connectivity, availability of digital devices, and digital literacy skills. The research findings suggest that e-learning can significantly improve literacy & education in inaccessible areas by providing access to high-quality educational resources & facilitating remote learning. Further, study recommends the implementation of e-learning programs as a means of enhancing literacy and education facilitation in the inaccessible areas.
