Measurements and Predictions of Gas Hydrate Phase Equilibria for CO2-Rich Gas Mixtures

Abstract:Gas hydrates are an ever-present concern in oil and gas production, as their undesirable formation results in flowline blockage, creating a significant operational loss and hazardous conditions. While the predictions of gas hydrate phase equilibria are mostly reliable, the data for hydrate phase equilibria in the literature are mostly limited under typical natural gas mixtures with a low CO 2 content. Uncertainties in the predictions are significant when considering CO 2 -rich systems at high pressures and hig… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
