“…The vapour pressure of an E5 or E10 blend is higher than the vapour pressure of either ethanol or gasoline as the mixture deviates from the ideal solution behaviour (Raoult's law) due to the intermolecular forces. This deviation from Raoult's law significantly alters the distillation curve of the blend in comparison to that of pure gasoline [17,18]. For E100 certain issues can also arise at cold-start engine conditions due to the lack of volatility, but this is not a problem for E85.…”
