Measurement of the integrated luminosities of the data taken by BESIII at √ s = 3.650 and 3.773 GeV

Abstract: Abstract:Data sets were collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at the center-of-mass energy of Author's Copy scattering events, the integrated luminosities of the two data sets are measured to be (44.49 ± 0.02 ± 0.44) pb −1 and (2916.94 ± 0.18 ± 29.17) pb −1 , respectively, where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic.

“…The BESIII collaboration has collected 1.31 × 10 9 e + e − → J/ψ events, more than 500 × 10 6 e + e − → ψ(2S ) events, 2.9 fb −1 at the ψ(3770) peak, and more than 10 fb −1 in the center-of-mass region above 4 GeV, which are devoted to studies of the charmonia and charmonium-like states [21][22][23]. Additional data have been acquired for a τ-mass scan and a high statistics R-scan.…”

“…To avoid this complication and to improve the statistics, instead of a DT technique, we reconstruct only one D 0 orD 0 decay in the ψ(3770) → D 0D0 process. The observed yield is normalized to the total number of the D 0D0 pairs, which can be obtained as N D 0D0 = L × σ(e + e − → ψ(3770) → D 0D0 ), using the integrated luminosity L of our sample [9] and the previously measured cross section σ(e + e − → D 0D0 ) = (3.607 ± 0.017(stat.) ± 0.056(syst.))…”

“…During 2010 and 2011, a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb −1 [9] was collected with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy ffiffi ffi s p ¼ 3.773 GeV. In e þ e − annihilations at this energy, D mesons are produced in pairs with no additional particles and can serve as an ideal test-bed to systematically study D decays.…”
