Abstract:We have performed the measurement of fission fragment mass-angle and mass-total kinetic energy distributions (TKE) for the neutron-deficient $^{190}$Pt compound nucleus populated via $^{12}$C + $^{178}$Hf reaction, at around and above barrier energies. No mass-angle correlation was observed in the fission of $^{190}$Pt signifying the absence of quasi-fission events in the studied reaction. The observed mass-total kinetic energy distributions have expected triangular shape and TKE distributions are well describ… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
