Measurement of D0, D+, D*+ and D+s production in Pb-Pb collisions at $$ \sqrt{{\mathrm{s}}_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.02 $$ TeV

Abstract: We report measurements of the production of prompt D 0 , D + , D * + and D + s mesons in Pb-Pb collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair √ s NN = 5.02 TeV, in the centrality classes 0-10%, 30-50% and 60-80%. The D-meson production yields are measured at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.5) as a function of transverse momentum (p T). The p T intervals covered in central collisions are: 1 < p T < 50 GeV/c for D 0 , 2 < p T < 50 GeV/c for D + , 3 < p T < 50 GeV/c for D * + , and 4 < p T < 16 GeV/c for … Show more

“…These peaks were assigned as two absorption doublets, one with individual peaks at 279 and 289 nm and the other with individual peaks at 328 and 347 nm . Table S1 (Supporting Information) contains a summary of the literature reports regarding the synthesis of colloidal ZnSe NCs …”

“…There, the terms of b p b −p and b † p b † −p can become zero simultaneously with the reduced transform quantity, r 1 = r 2 = 1 2 ln[ ω p / p 2 +(m 0 +∆m) 2 ]. The recent measurements of D 0 in heavy-ion collisions at the RHIC and LHC indicate that the average width of D 0 is approximately 30 MeV/c 2 [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]. The corresponding characteristic size is cτ ∼ 6.6 fm, which is smaller than the typical size of the particle-emitting source in relativistic heavy-ion collisions.…”

“…The elliptic flow is studied in more detail in Pb-Pb collisions using D-mesons as function of the p t in Fig. 7 [38]. The elliptic flow is maximal at p t ≈ 3 GeV and then decreases indicating a strong particle suppression at high p t .…”
