Measurement of Chlorobenzenes and Chlorophenols from a Small-Scale Fluidized Bed Type Incinerator for Municipal Solid Waste

Abstract: The sampling and analysis method is proposed for the measurement of chlorobenzenes and chlorophenols in emission gas of a municipal solid waste incinerator, based on results of recovery tests. The sampling method was evaluated by varying the sampling gas temperature and flow rate. According to the results of recovery tests, the lower temperature of sampling gas attained a higher absorption efficiency of diethylene glycol, and the low flow rate of sampling gas was beneficial to the activated carbon chip trap. “…Chlorinated benzenes (M 1 CBz-H 6 CBz) and phenols (M 1 CP-P 5 CP) were used for the recovery test. Details of the analytical methods used for chlorinated benzenes and phenols are described elsewhere (1). According to the results of the recovery test, the monitored ion concentrations were below the detection limit.…”
