“…Point-of-care tests with the advantage of immediate results are rarely needed, offering qualitative (positive/negative) results for selected biomarkers, with varying concordance 46 compared with laboratory-based testing: (anti-CCP2: sensitivity and specificity of 95% 47 to 100% 48 ; anti-MCV 49 : sensitivity 69.3%, specificity 99.7%; RF IgG 49 : sensitivity 69.3%, specificity 99.7%).…”

“…Knowledge on the citrullinome (total repertoire of citrullinated proteins in a defined tissue), the application of array‐based screening technologies, 131 and use of automated assays 132 will undoubtedly further increase the diagnostic potential of these autoantibodies. In this respect it is also interesting to note that a more rapid anti‐CCP2 assay, the CCPoint assay (Euro‐Diagnostica, Arnhem, The Netherlands), allowing for an immediate diagnosis (10 minutes) is now available for use in an outpatient clinic 133 …”

“…The Rheuma-Chec test (Orgentec, Mainz, Germany) combines two biomarkers for the diagnosis of RArheumatoid factor and antibodies to MCV. Antibodies to CCP are detected with the CCPoint assay (Euro-Diagnostica, Malmö, Sweden) (25). The tests require only a single drop of whole blood and any general physician can perform them within minutes.…”
