Measurement and Predict Thermo Physical Properties of Binary Liquid Mixtures at Various Temperatures Using Redlich-Kister Model

Abstract: Excess molar volume and viscosities are one of the important fundamental data for the design and optimization of chemical process. In this study, excess molar volume and viscosities of 1,4 Dioxane with two hydrocarbons Bromobenzene and Ethyl benzene have been measured over the entire range of composition at (303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K. From experimentations excess volumes, V E , and deviations in viscosities, Δη, are calculated. The calculated excess volumes, V E and deviations in viscosities, Δη exhibited … Show more

“…Therefore, the viscosity deviation depends on molecular interactions as well as on the size and shape of the molecules, where dispersion, induction and dipolar forces are operating, viscosity deviations are found to be negative. 27,[35][36][37][38][39][40][41]…”

“…Chemicals 1, 4 dioxane, bromo benzene and ethyl benzene (analytical grade) were obtained from M/s E. Merck Ltd with 99% purity and were stored over molecular sieves (0.3 nm) were kept in dark bottles, in an inert atmosphere and ultrasonically degassed before a sample preparation. 11,12 In Table 1 the densities and dynamic viscosities of the studied pure substances have been compared with the literature values at several temperatures [27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34]. Densities and viscosities of pure substances and experimental values were compared with literature values are listed in the Table 1.…”

“…Many separation tactics in chemical, biochemical and engineering as well as in petroleum industries depend on section equilibrium information. Depending on the applications and compounds worried, extraordinary forms of data are wished for instance vapourliquid equilibrium for plenty distillations, liquid-liquid equilibrium for liquid extractions and solid-liquid equilibrium for crystallization and leaching 8 . The reaction floor quadratic model extensively used statistical design technique for the interplay between binary or ternary structures, and the variables screened by using reaction floor quadratic model design have been in addition optimized in a 23 factorial Box-Behnken design methodology 9 .…”

“…The study of thermophysical properties of binary liquid mixtures is important in the analysis of engineering problems related to mass transfer, heat transfer and fluid flow (Cano-Gomez et al, 2015). The availability of the related data is essential in designing and solving many engineering problems such as process calculations, simulations and pipe design (Ramesh et al, 2014;Hoga and Torres, 2011). Usually, the density and viscosity of liquid and liquid mixtures are useful for understanding the behavior and nature of molecules (Hoga and Torres, 2011).…”
