Measurement and Correlation for the Solubility of Adipic Acid and Succinic Acid in Glutaric Acid + Cyclohexanone and Glutaric Acid + Acetic Acid Mixtures

Abstract: In this work, the solubilities of adipic acid and succinic acid in glutaric acid + cyclohexanone and glutaric acid + acetic acid mixtures were measured respectively by using the laser dynamic method under atmospheric pressure, in which the temperature ranged from 296.15 to 340.85 K and the mass fraction of glutaric acid in the binary solvent mixtures ranged from 0.00 to 0.30. The effects of glutaric acid on solubility of adipic acid and succinic acid have been discussed. It is found that the effects of glutari… Show more

“…To ensure the reliability and accuracy of the experimental method and apparatus, the solubilities of AA (GA, SA) in pure cyclohexanone were measured and compared with the literature data, respectively. ,,, The results are shown graphically in Table and Figures to . The results have good agreement with the literature data, which indicates that the experimental technique in this work is reliable and accurate.…”

“… a Standard uncertainties u are u ( T ) = 0.12 K, u r ( p ) = 0.05, and u r ( x ) = 0.10. x represents the experimental molar fraction of solubility in pure cyclohexanone. b RD = ( x c1 – x )/ x , where x and x c1 represent the molar fraction of solubility of experimental and average values in the literature (by the dynamic method) at the same temperature, respectively. ,,,, c ARD is the averaged relative deviation. …”
