Maximum Torque per Voltage Flux-Weakening Strategy With Speed Limiter for PMSM Drives

Abstract: This paper presents an enhanced Flux Weakening (FW) control scheme for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs), focused on electric vehicle applications. The novelty of the proposed algorithm is the integration in a unified scheme of both the accelerator pedal as torque reference and the cruise speed limiter (CSL) as speed limit, without interfering between them until this limit is achieved. The dq-axis current references are calculated from the proposed algorithm by using a polar coordinate system and a p… Show more

“…Feedback topologies are subdivided in two subcategories, depending on how the loop acts on the current references coming from the speed loop. In particular, it is possible to distinguish between solutions acting on the angle of the MTPA current references [47,48] and solutions acting on the d-current reference [49,50]. The control schemes are reported in Figure 10 whereas their operating principle is depicted in Figure 11.…”

“…References (Zerdali, 2019;Özkurt and Zerdali, 2022) established an adaptive mechanism to compensate for the influence of the changing system noise covariance matrix on the observation performance. Reference (Deng et al, 2019;Miguel-Espinar et al, 2021) proposed a robust EKF algorithm, which makes adjustment rules for the ratio of estimation error to external interference under interference. The results show that this kind of method has stronger anti-interference performance than the unmodified EKF under disturbance.…”
