Maximum approximate likelihood estimation in accelerated failure time model for interval‐censored data

Abstract:The approximate Bernstein polynomial model, a mixture of beta distributions, is applied to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of the regression coefficients, the baseline density and the survival functions in an accelerated failure time model based on interval censored data including current status data. The estimators of the regression coefficients and the underlying baseline density function are shown to be consistent with almost parametric rates of convergence under some conditions for uncensored and/or in… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
