Abstract:The generalized Bessel function (GBF) is a multi-dimensional extension of the standard Bessel function. Two dimensional GBFs have been studied extensively in the literature and have found application in laser physics, crystallography, and electromagnetics. However, a more rigorous treatment of higher-dimensional GBFs is lacking. The GBF exhibits a rich array mathematical structure in regards to its partial differential equation representation, its asymptotic characterization, and its level sets. In this talk/p… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
