Efforts to increase the quality of this environment have been going on since the beginning of the concern for shelter in the history of humanity. The main targets of the user, designers, practitioners, and decision-makers are to carry the quality of life, health, safety, and welfare of individuals and other living things to the next level. Problems have been identified to increase the function and quality of the space, spatial requirements have been determined, and researched, and some design factors have been determined to reach the most appropriate solution. The researchers focused on the proposition that the effectiveness of these factors before and during the design process would increase the quality of the space. However, since research generally focuses on indoor quality, the outdoor quality factors that are part of urban design are not clear. This work, was designed to evaluate the usability of these factors, which were determined and measured especially to deal with the interior, in designs at larger scales (street, neighborhood, city…) and to improve the existing. In designs outside the spatial scale, where almost all factors can be controlled by the relevant stakeholders of the process, the subject is approached through changeable and unchangeable parameters and their balancing. Studies on the factors determined during the process were compiled and their effects on different scales were evaluated as a result of these compilations. As a result of the evaluation, some suggestions were given. In the process of redesigning the space, selecting feasible suggestions, and incorporating them into the creation of the future physical space, using the suggestions as urban rehabilitation tools, and considering these interventions to be flexible and suitable for various factors are of great importance for the psychology of the users.

A Computational Approach to a Mathematical Model of Climate Change Using Heat Sources and Diffusion

The present work aims to extend the climate change energy balance models using a heat source. An ordinary differential equations (ODEs) model is extended to a partial differential equations (PDEs) model using the effects of diffusion over the spatial variable. In addition, numerical schemes are presented using the Taylor series expansions. For the climate change model in the form of ODEs, a comparison of the presented scheme is made with the existing Trapezoidal method. It is found that the presented scheme converges faster than the existing scheme. Also, the proposed scheme provides fewer errors than the existing scheme. The PDEs model is also solved with the presented scheme, and the results are displayed in the form of different graphs. The impact of the climate feedback parameter, the heat uptake parameter of the deep ocean, and the heat source parameter on global mean surface temperature and deep ocean temperature is also portrayed. The ideas of the studies in this article are back-grounded by the work diligently and carefully to relate the influence of two independent variables, e.g., distance and time on one dependent variable, i.e., temperature changes which are solved by a partial differential equation. In this article, we explain the particular features of a naturally physical system that it seeks to understand. The diagnosis of the temperature changes in a metal rod to consider a conduction phenomenon can be covered by all-natural physical phenomena through conduction. By making the mathematical equations based on partial differential equations (PDEs), it is shown that the temperature change is influenced by distance and time. The objectives of this study are (i) to make a prototype of the problem based on the one-dimensional heat conduction equation, (ii) to process the solution of the mathematical equation based on the parabolic partial differential equation (PDE) using the separation of variables, and (iii) to display the phenomena of the temperature changes as a function of the length in the copper bar and the time. Achieving the research objectives takes several stages in the research methods which include (a) making the prototype of the problem, (b) processing the solution of a mathematical equation, and (c) displaying the temperature changes phenomenon in the form of a curve. The results are (i) a mass balance is developed for a finite segment ∆𝑧 along the tank's longitudinal axis in order to derive a differential equation, (ii) the final complete solution in the form of a Fourier sine series, and (iii) a three-dimensional curve as an indication of the existence of the phenomenon of temperature changes. In general, it can be concluded that the making of a mathematical model based on partial differential equations with the method of separating variables as an analytical solution can be used to diagnose the phenomenon of temperature changes as a function of distance and time.
